Taylor Swift Announces World Tour

Taylor announced the tour on Good Morning America this morning, just days after performing an epic concert in Times Square to over 20,000 fans.

The 1989 World Tour will encompass eight countries and span four continents including North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.

The UK leg of the tour will kick off on 23 June 2015 in Glasgow at The SSE Hydro - Taylor’s first ever live show in Scotland.

It then sees Taylor stop at Manchester Arena on 24 June – before she headlines Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park 2015, in London on 27 June.

Tickets for the Manchester show will go on-sale to the general public at 9:30am on Friday 7 November, 2014.

Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Taylor has won seven GRAMMY awards and is the youngest winner in history of the music industry’s highest honor, the GRAMMY Award for Album of the Year.

Taylor is the only artist in music history to have an album (2010’s Speak Now, 2012’s RED and 2014’s 1989) hit the 1 million plus first-week sales figure three times in the US.

She is the first artist since the Beatles (and the only female artist in history) to log six or more weeks at number one in the U.S. with three consecutive studio albums.
